Things Are Looking Up

Product Availability Starting to Improve

nick baker - owner & managing director

The construction industry has been through a lot in the last few years, impacted by the recession and homeownership rates, which have been at all-time lows. During this time of economic uncertainty, many have faced difficulty finding materials for projects such as plywood, concrete and 2x4s – all of which are used frequently across many types of building projects.

Most contractors have been limiting their risks as best as they can, with some bidding out smaller projects that require less work and investment and even using less preferable materials and products to ensure they get the job done, even if it means not doing it right.

Now though, change is in clear sight!

After three years of downturn and restricted supply, our industry is starting to experience an increase in construction activity. Demand has increased and with it supply. New entrants into the market bring with them fresh capital and building technology. This can be seen as positive news for all involved in the industry because it means there will be more opportunities for everyone – from contractors and subcontractors, to suppliers and vendors.

The challenge now becomes keeping up with demand without sacrificing quality or safety standards; making sure you have enough skilled workers who can do their jobs well; ensuring your equipment works effectively so projects run smoothly; getting materials delivered on time so there’s no delay (hint: this is where we come in!); making sure customers feel supported throughout each step of their journey…and so much more!

Get in touch to find out how we can help source, supply and deliver all the materials you need for your upcoming projects.
