Our skilled team of buyers source the best value materials for you, utilising our international network of suppliers, and manage the goods right up until delivery on site. No matter how many suppliers we use to fulfil your order, the only contact you need is us; we manage everything for you.
We are also able to offer advice and guidance, should you need it. Every member of the team has extensive knowledge of construction, meaning we can anticipate your next requirement and, if we spot a good deal, or foresee any issues that could be coming your way, we’ll always let you know.

Wainwright Direct began with Dave Wainwright’s ironmongers and, as much as we grow, we will always be committed to providing the level customer service our early patrons came to know and love.
Having been in the business for over twenty-five years we haven’t only built up our knowledge, we’ve also built up our network. Our honest trading means we have a vast network of manufacturers and suppliers, and you can reap the benefits of our buying power. Together, our dedicated team of experts have over 100 years’ experience in all areas of building materials supply and distribution, and all of this knowledge is just a phone call away.

At Wainwright’s, our mantra is to be more than your average builders’ merchant. With years of experience working in the construction industry under our belt, we know exactly what ‘average’ looks like. As a business, going the extra mile is our start point, our ground zero. To provide more means we need to learn more, and this has always been our philosophy. When we started our businesses back in 1995, we did so by providing the very highest level of customer service and support to local builders and construction companies. These old-fashioned values are as pertinent today as they were back then, in fact, we’d argue that this traditional approach has become our true differentiator in the industry. You see, we really, really know our products and building materials, and that’s because we really, really know our clients.

Welcome to our Customer Charter and our company promise. Over the years, we’ve seen the construction industry change beyond recognition. Some of this change has been positive and, by association, some change has exposed a less attractive side of the sector.
We understand that as businesses we want more, for less, but we also acknowledge how fragmented we have become in our ability to provide good old fashioned ‘customer service’. Our Customer Charter represents our promise to the people we work for, and the values that our team work towards. It’s our belief that our ability to be good servants is directly influenced by the culture we breed. This drives our business to be the very best we can, thereby creating higher standards for the industry to promote.
